A new episode “Craiova Leaks” reveals the real estate transaction made far from the eyes of the world, in an auction that brought a building, controversial due to its turbulent history, from the possession of Adrian Mititelu senior to that of Adrian Mititelu junior and his sister this one.

“Trojan Jewels” directed our steps towards another spectacular story, about a building that appears in the documents as having 136 rooms: a real Palace, which houses the most important businesses of the Oltean millionaire, the headquarters of FC U Craiova and the newspaper Ediție special.

Haunted by old lawsuits, with numerous forced pursuits and seizures placed on it, the building on Strada Sf. Dumitru got rid of encumbrances and any other restrictions, after the skillful and not accidental move of the Cetatea Banilor Construct company, owned by Adiță Mititelu and Liana Gabriela, his sister.

How Adrian Mititelu junior bought the 136-room palace of Adrian Mititelu senior, which ANAF and a bank put up for auction!

The headquarters of the FC U Craiova club is one of the most imposing buildings from the city, even though recently she was attacked and vandalized, unscrupulously, by two ultras of the rival CS U, who were detained by the authorities for their rude gesture. The first attestation about the construction appears in 1896, according to monumenteoltenia.rowhen a newspaper of the time announced the completion of the Geblescu Hotel, which belonged to a businessman of that time, Ștefan Geblescu.

From its early years, the hotel became famous for the worldly, even debauched, life it housed. In 1924, an investor with a sense for real estate hits, the nobleman Nicolae Dragomir, bought it and named it “Hotel New York”.

The rich man had known the American dream and given it the name that would follow him a century later. But we will return to this later in the article.

The years passed, the hotel changed its owners and its field of activity. Through a twisted combination, in the early 2000s, Adrian Mititelu came into possession of the building, after the companies he controlled (SC SICO SA and REGIONAL MEDIA) took it over from Dinel Staicu, claimed those from GDS.

There, Mititelu senior established the headquarters of the club and the newspaper Ediție Specială. 20 difficult years followed, with numerous litigations. Forcible pursuits and seizures. From numerous entities, private or of the Romanian state.

ProSport obtained certain documents from which emerge all these “obstacles” that the famous construction had to overcome during this period.

After all this series of problems, the historical monument building in which the headquarters of FC U Craiova is located comes, following an auction, into the possession of the company Cetatea Banilor Construct SRL, which belongs to Adrian Gigi Mititelu (son of Adrian Mititelu) and Badea Mititelu Liana Gabriela (daughter of Adrian Mititelu).

In order to get hold of the architectural “jewel” put up for auction by ANAF and the bank in litigation with Adrian Mititelu, the company paid 700,000 euros! In the documents, it was stipulated that the money would be transferred in installments.

The Mititelu family’s plan: restore the building and turn it into a New York hotel!

The “Trojan jewels” also explain what will happen to the headquarters of the FC U Craiova club. “I know for many it will be a surprise, but for others it won’t be. Adrian Mititelu will move his headquarters from there and his family will set up a hotel!”, claims our source.

Contacted by ProSportAdrian Mititelu acknowledged the transaction, but also the fact that on the site of the current headquarters of FC U Craiova, the “fiefdom” of worldly life from the Second World War period will be reborn, confirming the revelations of our source.

“The club headquarters is owned by Cetatea Banilor Construct. It’s not for sale. On the contrary, it is undergoing modernization, a hotel will be built. We’re going to rebuild the New York Hotel! It was adjudicated after being auctioned by ANAF and a bank. It was paid in full. The amount is around 700,000 euros”, Adrian Mititelu declared for ProSport.
