The crime took place in Arad, the accused being students from Morocco.
According to the Arad prosecutors, the young Tunisian was beaten and strangled in the apartment he had rented to the aggressors. The crime took place on August 4, amid the consumption of alcohol and drugs, after a spontaneous conflict.
“While they were getting dressed, one of the Moroccan citizens grabbed the victim’s neck with his hands and started to squeeze her hard, at the same time the other Moroccan punched him in the stomach area and hit him over the legs with a TV cable to keep the victim immobilized. The first defendant squeezed the victim’s neck until she fainted and died. The second defendant filmed with his phone”, the prosecutors said.
The man’s body was found the next day.
On August 5, the two Moroccan students were detained, and on August 6, preventive arrest was ordered for a period of 30 days.
