Firea submitted her candidacy to PMB: People can forgive us if we make mistakes. Ciolacu: The stories of upsets between us are over

Gabriela Firea, accompanied by the Prime Minister and leader of the PSD Marcel Ciolacu and several social democrats, including Robert Negoiță and Daniel Băluță, declared, when submitting her candidacy for a new term of office as general mayor of the Capital, that “people can forgive us if we make mistakes, but I can’t forgive us if we show that we don’t care” and thanked Ciolacu for his support. The PSD leader emphasized that the upsets between them were “stories”.

Gabriela Firea came to submit her candidacy for the Capital City Hall, on Sunday, at the Electoral Office of the Bucharest Municipality, accompanied by PSD president, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, PSD general secretary, Paul Stănescu, PSD first vice-president Sorin Grindeanu, the mayors of the Sectors 3 and 4, Robert Negoiţă and Daniel Băluţă, MEP Mihai Tudose and other social democrats.

“I have now applied for a new mandate at the General City Hall of the Capital. I thank my colleagues. You have in front of you the people who can transform Bucharest for the better, who can make a difference, who will put an end to inefficiency, slowness and everything that happened not good in Bucharest. Their pace was snail’s pace. We propose a dynamic administration and a collaboration with all colleagues from the sectors, regardless of political color”, said Firea.

Gabriela Firea declared that she is optimistic and convinced that the people of Bucharest want a dynamic, efficient mayor who is permanently on the ground, in the middle of construction sites.

“I recently entered this race. I rely a lot on the citizens of Bucharest, on those who are dissatisfied with the inefficiency of the current mayor, on those who voted for me and were disappointed three and a half years ago that I did not continue the projects at the Capital City Hall, on my fellow sector mayors, on my social democratic colleagues. And I think that by this I have said everything. I am confident, I am optimistic and I am convinced that the people of Bucharest want a dynamic, efficient mayor who is permanently on the ground, in the middle of the construction sites, who respects the law and the rules and when a problem happens he does not hide in the office, how to happened during this period, but to face the problem and together with the best specialists to find the solutions”, said the PSD candidate in the Capital.

Gabriela Firea also spoke about forgiveness in the speech at the Electoral District Office of the Municipality of Bucharest

“People can forgive us if we make mistakes, but they can’t forgive us if we show that we don’t care. I want to sincerely thank Mr. Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, for all the support during this period. I am absolutely sure that he will support all the good projects for the Capital at the governmental level”, said Gabriela Firea.

For his part, PSD president Marcel Ciolacu promised Gabriela Firea that he would support her unconditionally in the efforts and projects he has for Bucharest.

“It’s official, from this moment Gabriela Firea is a candidate for a new mandate at the Capital City Hall. He is a candidate together with Mr. Daniel Băluţă, Robert Negoiţă, George Tuţă, Ciprian Ciucu. What I want is to be more than sure that everyone will win, I want that in the next period of the electoral campaign, together with all your colleagues, we succeed in passing on the project and the administrative program for Bucharest. Bucharest needs Sorin Grindeanu, Alexandru Rafila, Mihai Tudose. Four years were lost, four wasted years, four years won on lies, on untruths, on hatred against each other and we see where it ended up. This means actually confusing politics with administration. Administration must never have color (policy – no). Gabi, I promise you that I will be by your side and I will support you unconditionally. I think the stories of upsets between us, of arrangements, of who will run, if Gabi Firea wins Bucharest, are over. I apologize to you. There were some stories”, stated Ciolacu.
