HMD launched smartphones at prices below 800 RON. What specs do they come with

HMD recently launched three new smartphones under its own brand: HMD Pulse Pro, HMD Pulse+ and HMD Pulse.

In an online meeting that took place on April 17, Adam Ferguson, global head of product and marketing at HMD, highlighted the key features of the series, including affordable prices and the ability to repair the devices by users, in partnership with iFixit.

According to Ferguson, the screen of an HMD Pulse Pro could be replaced for 50 euros, while a new battery costs 20 euros, thus providing an economical alternative to completely replacing the phone.

What features do new smartphones come with?

The top model, HMD Pulse Pro, is equipped with a 6.65-inch screen, HD resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The phone runs on a Unisoc T606 processor, assisted by 6GB of RAM and offers 128GB of internal storage, expandable via data card.

The operating system is Android 14 and the replaceable 5000 mAh battery promises remarkable longevity with support for 800 full charge cycles. The phone has a camera setup that includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary one, while the front camera is also 50MP.

The HMD Pulse+ comes with many of the Pro’s specs, but only has 4GB of RAM and a slower 10W battery charge. The HMD Pulse, the most affordable model, lowers the specs even further, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with a 13MP main camera.

All models are IP52 water resistant and will be available in various colors. The Pulse+ and Pulse models will be available from May, at the prices of 699 lei and 599 lei, respectively. The HMD Pulse Pro will be available later at a price of 179 euros in Europe.
