Gigi Becali has already invested 10 million euros in the church and, until the works are ready, he expects to pay even more.

“It will be a work of art. It will be the most beautiful church in the world. Taking everything as a whole, flooring, layout… What I have in mind, it will be the most beautiful church in the world.

So far it has cost 10 million euros. 1000 people can enter the church. It’s big, very big, huge“, said Gigi Becali at the end of last year.

Gigi Becali refused an offer of 6 million euros for the land

Gigi Becali decided to do the church in 2008, after the qualification of FCSB in the UEFA Champions League groups, after a victory with Galatasaray. Since then, he received an offer of 6 million euros for the land on which the church is built, but he didn’t even want to hear it.

“It is a church that I promised God when we beat Galatasaray. I said if we beat the Turks now, I’ll build a church over there on the corner.

We received 6 million euros on this land here, and many people said ‘Let it go, you’re doing it elsewhere!’. But you don’t negotiate with God! My promise is now fulfilled. Now thank God he put this (no big spire). Today I put that big dome. It will be the most beautiful church in the world. They are much bigger in size, but in terms of beauty…

It will be made of mosaic, with golden pebbles. Only the interior costs 5-6 million euros. When this dome was erected, I felt a joy as great as all the billions in the world“, declared Gigi Becali, on Romania TV.
