“A car driven by a 75-year-old man, on DN 55, in the radius of the Sadova locality, in the direction of Bechet, for reasons to be determined following the investigations, allegedly entered the opposite direction of travel, colliding with a car driven by a 25-year-old man from Bechet. As a result of the road accident, unfortunately, the 75-year-old driver died”, IPJ Dolj announced.
In the case of the 75-year-old driver, rescuers tried resuscitation, but the man did not respond to maneuvers.
The other driver and three other people in his car, as well as a woman in the car driven by the 75-year-old man, needed medical attention.
The 25-year-old driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being negative.
The police have opened a criminal case for the crimes of manslaughter and culpable bodily harm.
Research is being continued to establish the exact circumstances in which the accident occurred.
In the area, road traffic is carried out on a single line, alternatively, by directing the police.
