The circulation of metro trains on Magistrala 2 will be carried out directly, between the Tudor Arghezi and Pipera stations, without the need to transfer at the Berceni station, Metrorex announces.

The train succession interval during peak traffic hours will be 4 minutes, and the travel time of subway trains from one end to the other of Highway 2 will be approximately 30 minutes.
The Tudor Arghezi metro station was put into operation in November 2023. The metro trains initially traveled in a pendulum system, every eight minutes, to the new Tudor Arghezi metro station on Highway 2. The station was built by the Sector 4 City Hall in partnership with Metrorex.
Built on an area of 15,000 square meters, the Tudor Arghezi metro station cost 50 million euros, non-refundable European funds.
M2 Berceni – Pipera is 18 kilometers long, double track, and its age is over 40 years.
The City Hall of Sector 4 has built a 350-space park&ride opposite the new metro station, so that those coming from Ilfov can leave their car there and take the metro to the city center. The parking lot and the subway station are connected by a tunnel for easier access.
