“Pact for Participatory Democracy”, launched by USR Bihor – Oradea live

--

The Pact for Participatory Budgeting was presented in the press conference of USR Bihor on Wednesday, May 8. It is the third project launched by the political formation.

CSM CSU Oradea will play in the seventh National League final in the club’s history

The USR candidate for the Oradea City Hall, Daniel Palaghianu, says that this program is absolutely necessary because the city has a poor civic life, and it is quite difficult for people to mobilize. Only when they hear that “the road could pass through their living room” do they react. In addition, the local administration minimizes public consultations, and the visibility of the projects, in some cases, is low.

In Palaghianu’s opinion, dialogue can offer viable solutions. This is also the case of a green area in the Nufărul neighborhood. The project will be done, but the opinion of the citizens will also be taken into account.

USR Bihor managed, thanks to Gabriela Jurjea, to mobilize over 15 thousand animal lovers from Oradea, who signed for Grive’s Mission, as the campaign to promote the citizens’ initiative was called. Now it is expected that the project will be submitted to public debate. The initiators want the City Hall to ensure better conditions than they currently are at Grivei, the only public shelter for dogs in Bihor.

The leader of the USR Bihor, deputy Silviu Dehelean, is proud that the citizens’ initiative “No penalties in public positions”, of which he was a co-author, is showing its fruits. This after more than 1.2 million signatures were collected. Now permanently convicted citizens can no longer hold public positions in state institutions.
