A man from Sibiu county was sent to court after, last summer, he committed a theft of over 60,000 euros.
The thief entered the yard of a house in Sibiu, after which he entered the bedroom. There he found a safe deposit box containing large sums of money. He didn’t think twice and ran away with over 60,000 euros.
“In the reporting document, it was noted that the defendant, on 03.08.2023, in the time interval 06:11-06:46, entered the courtyard of the building by unauthorized use of the real key to the access gate, later by using without right to the real key to the door of the building, after which he proceeded to section a valuables box stored in the bedroom of the building and embezzled the sums of 58,000 euros and 25,000 lei, to the detriment of the injured person,” the indictment published on rejust.ro states.
The individual was then caught with the help of witnesses and surveillance cameras in the area.
At the end of April, he was sent to court for committing the crime of qualified theft.
