The metro will run directly between the Pipera and Tudor Arghezi stations, starting on Thursday, May 9, without the need to transfer at the Berceni station, informs Metrorex.

The train succession interval during peak traffic hours will be 4 minutes, and the travel time from one end of Highway 2 to the other will be approximately 30 minutes.

The Tudor Arghezi metro station, which was opened in mid-November 2023, without the signaling part being fully completed, is a multimodal transport point, being directly connected, through an underground pedestrian tunnel, to the nearby multi-storey car park .

In the park & ​​ride parking lot, people coming from outside the city can leave their cars safely, to continue their journey to the center of the Capital using the metro.

The investment cost 50 million euros and was supported by non-refundable funds. Together with the connecting line, the new station has an area of ​​over 15,000 square meters, between Berceni station, the current end of Highway 2 and the Ring Road, and has a route with a total length of 1.6 kilometers.
