The crown of Queen Maria of Romania will be exhibited for a month at the Braunstein Palace in Iasi, in an exhibition that will open today.
Along with the queen’s crown, it will be possible to admire her mantle, as well as several personal items from the National History of Romania, Peleș and Brukenthal museums in Sibiu.
Aurica Ichim, director of the Municipal Museum in Iasi: At the Braunstein Palace, the Queen Maria Municipal Museum in Iași is organizing an exhibition “Maria of Romania, Queen and Artist”. On this occasion, in the hall of the Royal Treasury will be exhibited Queen Maria’s crown, Queen Maria’s cloak, paintings that belonged to the Queen, as well as works that belonged to the painters who were part of the artistic youth society and who were supported by Queen Maria in all the work works by Luchian, works by Grigorescu, works of great value that are now part of the Romanian Treasury. These exhibits come from the National History Museum of Romania, the Peleș National Museum, the Brukenthal National Museum, the National Archives of Romania and two private collectors.
