The film “From Other Lives”, projected at the “Arta” Cinema in Arad

--

The film “Past Lives” (dir. Celine Song), which won the Audience Award last year at Sundance and was declared by critics as the best film of 2023, will be screened at Cinema ” Art” from Arad.

The screening will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 7:00 p.m., and public access will be free, subject to availability.

The film tells the story of Nora and Hae Sung, two young people who have a special bond since childhood, but whose paths diverge when Nora’s family emigrates from South Korea.

20 years later, in New York, the two find themselves for a week, during which they confront their notions of love and destiny.

With humor, maturity and emotion, their story flows naturally without directorial or screenwriting artifice, creating two worlds so different that meet through Nora and can work together in harmony.

The film produces a unique experience in the cinema hall, the music and the image creating a collective emotion.

The events at the “Arta” Cinema are organized by the Arad City Hall through the Municipal Culture Center.
