According to the monthly update of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, 695 new infections were registered, which brings the total number registered in the last year to 6,319.

The countries with the highest number of infections were Romania (174), Austria (150), Italy (109), France (56) and Belgium (44), writes ANSA.

Only six countries have not reported any infections in the past month. Bulgaria and Luxembourg are the only ones that have not detected any cases in the last year.

The rubella situation is better. In the last month, 44 cases were reported, all coming from just two countries: Poland (35 cases) and Germany (9). These two countries represented almost 99% of the 305 infections registered in the last year. The other affected states were Latvia (2), Lithuania (1) and Romania (1).
