The construction site of the parking lot with 863 parking spaces under construction at the airport has reached 50%, the City Hall announces. The builder is TCI General Contractor and the value of the investment is over 14.5 million euros.
The investment is carried out by Cluj-Napoca City Hall in the Traian Vuia area (no. 149-151), the project being taken over by the County Council after the institution could not secure the necessary budget. Already the mayor has presented several images from the site, including a clump of large bale trees that were being planted on the site. The town hall informed that the construction site has reached 50%, works executed from the total investment, without specifying exactly what remains to be built.
The project includes:
– setting up a parking platform and access from the national road;
– arrangement of public transport stations
– the construction of a bus station type terminal, including a building for the transport terminal, with a canopy for passengers and coaches
– setting up a public square
– 300 new trees planted.
In total, 863 parking spaces are provided:
– 788 parking spaces for vehicles;
– 37 parking spaces for people with disabilities;
– 30 parking spaces for electric and hybrid vehicles;
– 8 platforms for buses.
Traian Vuia Street will be systematized as follows: Park&Ride access area, new roundabout, sidewalks, relocation of the public transport station.
