Nicolae Marius Șora and Constantin Lungu will run in the local elections on June 9 for the position of mayor of the Prahov commune Gura Vadului. Șora is the current mayor and is supported by PNL, the party he represented in the 2020 elections, which he won. Lungu is the mayor from 2016-2020, when he was registered in the PSD.

The investigators claimed that the steps and measures ordered for the entry into legality of the Dacian Farm were carried out in violation of the legal provisions, respectively of Law no. 50/1991 republished regarding the authorization of the execution of construction works and Law no. 10/1995 republished regarding quality in construction.

The file also shows that the civil servant failed to verify the fulfillment of the legal conditions, performing his duties improperly and thus causing an injury to the legitimate rights of natural persons who benefited from accommodation services, respectively the right to benefit from tourist services with the fulfillment of the safety conditions of the buildings offered for hotel rental by the aforementioned legal entity, as well as the fundamental rights to bodily integrity and life.

The administrators of the boarding house, Adrian Ristin and Adelina Ilie, were placed under judicial control from February 1, after they had been under house arrest.
Nicolae Șora, the current mayor of Gura Vadului, submitted his last wealth declaration in May 2023. From the document consulted by Fanatik it appears that Șora owns an agricultural land of 8,759 square meters and three inner-village plots of 705 sqm, 1,176 sqm and 1,324 sqm in the locality. The village has two houses, of 160 sqm and 2150 sqm respectively, and a building of 280 sqm.
The former mayor, Constantin Lungu, is a local councilor in the town hall, and his wealth declaration was completed in June 2023. Lungu has an agricultural land of 5,000 square meters, two inner-city plots, of 243 square meters and 1,356 square meters, respectively. He also has an apartment of 45 square meters and a house of 127 square meters.
