Extraordinary Easter concert in the Evangelical Church in Bistrita – TimpOnline.ro

On the third day of the Easter holidays, the extraordinary Easter concert organized by the Bistrita City Hall and the “George Coşbuc” Municipal Cultural Center took place in the Evangelical Church, originally scheduled for the pedestrian Liviu Rebreanu but moved due to the threat of rain.

The concert from the cycle “Bistrita Lirica” ​​was performed by soloists Ovidiu Purcel – tenor (Dusseldorf State Opera), Noemi Veres – soprano (Hungarian Opera Cluj-Napoca), Alexandra Leșiu – mezzo-soprano (National Opera Cluj-Napoca), Beniamin Pop – bass-baritone (Dusseldorf State Opera), together with Claudiu Hontilă – violin (Transilvania State Philharmonic), accompanied by the New Transylvanian Orchestra (conductor Romeo Rîmbu).

“It is an extraordinary moment to see the archipelago Evangelical Church, with people willing to listen to good music. Bistrița produces values, we can organize lyrical music shows exclusively with Bistriţa artists”, said mayor Ioan Turc at the opening.
