The results obtained by the gendarmes from Arges during the mini-holiday of May 1 and the Easter holidays

In the period 01-06 May 2024, the activity of the Argeș County Gendarmerie Inspectorate had a predominantly preventive character, and the missions mainly aimed at ensuring public order measures in the area of places of worship during the Resurrection service.

Also, the gendarmes from Arges acted daily to prevent and combat antisocial acts, of a criminal or contraventional nature, independently, as well as in an integrated system and intervened in events reported through the National Single Emergency Call System 112 or addressed directly to our institution.

We thank those who chose to spend this mini-vacation responsibly, understanding to respect the measures adopted by law enforcement, so that no major incidents were recorded.

Although we would have liked not to record any negative events, there were also situations that imposed sanctions on people for non-compliance with the law in the field of public order or in the field of picnic activities. Thus, in the mentioned time interval, during the missions performed, the gendarmes from Argesa applied more than 70 contraventional sanctions, especially for violations of Law no. 61/1991 and Law 54/2012. Of these, 30 were fines worth 8,750 lei and 46 written warnings.

A special situation took place on May 2, when the Arges gendarmes were alerted by calling 112 about the fact that, near the Vidraru Dam, there are 7 people of Spanish nationality who were stuck with their car on the side of the road. Considering the late hour, but also the possibility of the appearance of wild animals in the area, the gendarmes from Arges led them to an accommodation facility.

We still remain in debt for fulfilling the duties with responsibility, ensuring public order and tranquility, being permanently with the citizens, for their safety.
