One of the most famous sheep farmers in Romania, Ioan Branga, died at the age of 54 following a heart attack, according to Agriointel.

Ioan Branga was the president of the Association of Sheep and Goat Breeders “Mioriţa” Chișinău-Criș and together with other sheep breeders, he founded a cheese factory. They managed to be among the first sheep to enter the telemeaua directly in the supermarket networks. It’s about the Cris-Sib Lacto cheese company, which produced the famous sheep telemea that Romanians used to find on the supermarket aisles with the “Romanian tastes” stamp.

The sad news was confirmed for Agrointel by the family of the well-known sheep born in the Sibiu area. It seems that Ioan Branga died during the night, due to a fatal heart attack.

Ioan Branga was born in 1970 and was only 54 years old. Those who knew him know that he was a lively, hardworking man, always willing to help and who was involved in every effort to defend the rights of Romanian sheep breeders. Always present at the official discussions as the leader of the sector, Ioan Branga was a strong voice that was heard and listened to both at the Ministry of Agriculture and at the Victoria Palace, always with concrete arguments and proposals for animal husbandry.
