Eleven for Piatra-Neamt City Hall

--

Big crowd for the position of mayor of Piatra-Neamț, where no less than 11 candidates submitted their candidacies by the deadline, April 30. In terms of notoriety, more than half of them are known, being more active in political life, the others less so.

The current mayor, Andrei Carabelea, the PNL candidate can no longer rely on the idea of his youth and change in this campaign. In addition, he now also has to contend with the work on the mobility corridors and the inertia of a band of officials who are eyeing what their opponents might offer.

Adrian Niță, the former prefect of Neamț, the PSD candidate, is teaming up with Dragoș Chitic (vice-president of CJ Neamț, former mayor and vice-mayor of Piatra-Neamț) who would be the public administrator in the idea of winning the elections.

PUSL follows the same formula, with other sonorous names: Vasile Panaite – mayor, Gheorghe Ștefan (Pinalti) – public administrator.

The man of… AUR is former county councilor Marius Vasile Apopei, social activist and expert in European funds. Marius – Loredan Popa gave AUR to SOS and is coming to the turn, alongside Constantin Băltog who believes that progressivism can take him to the mayor’s office. Alina Tatomir is the hope of the right led by USR.

The former general school inspector of Neamț county, Florentina Luca Moise, but also the former deputy mayor released from office, Alin Ștefan Lehăduș, are running as independents, the picture being completed by a lesser-known female figure, Diana Acatrinei. The latter comes with a social media campaign under the slogan “It’s time to get involved” in which Piatra-Neamț is the “eternal fortress”, promises good administration and presents itself as “project manager at UAT”. She graduated from Petru Rareș National College, graduated in law and with a master’s degree in public administration law, advisor on European projects in Tașca.
