There were no major incidents in the county, reports the Olt Gendarmerie County Inspectorate, and those found violating public peace and order were fined during the Easter mini-holiday
The Olten gendarmes intensified public order and safety measures between 01-06 May and supplemented the devices of the gendarmes who patrolled the congested areas intended for picnic activities and in the vicinity of places of worship. 19 people were fined.
During this mini-holiday, IJJ Olt performed 15 missions to ensure public order at cultural-artistic, sports and religious events in the municipality of Slatina and 10 other localities, as well as 159 missions to maintain public order and safety (performed in urban and rural areas, both independently and in integrated system).
“Daily, intervention crews were formed to intervene in emergency situations to combat anti-social acts and ensure a climate of civic safety. During the execution of the missions out of responsibility, no major events were recorded, but the Olten gendarmes found some antisocial facts and applied 19 contraventional sanctions in the total amount of 2300 lei for violating the norms of social coexistence, order and public peace. We underline the fact that the gendarmes will remain mobilized to eliminate the dangers that may disrupt public peace and safety, as well as for the smooth running of events in the public space. We thank all the citizens who chose to spend these days off responsibly and showed understanding regarding the safety measures adopted”reports the Oltean gendarmerie.
