A fire broke out, last night, in an apartment on Lacul Bâlea street in Ploiesti. Firefighters intervened quickly after receiving a 112 call.

According to ISU Prahova, three fire trucks, a rescue truck and a SMURD crew were mobilized to the scene.

The fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time, being affected household goods in a room of the apartment.

The fire started from an unattended candle. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

In order to prevent the occurrence of such events, which can have serious consequences, the fire department recommends that citizens observe the following fire prevention measures:

– Make sure that the candle or candle stands upright and is fixed in a specially designed holder so that it does not fall or let drops of hot wax fall.

– Do not leave candles burning if you have to leave the room. It is best to put them out to avoid a fire in your absence.
