​On the last day of the European Gymnastics Championships in Rimini, the Romanian women’s team managed to finish in fourth place, despite the fact that they occupied a place on the podium for three quarters.

Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, Lilia Cosman, Ana Bărbosu and Amalia Ghigoartă, 4th place for Romania in Rimini

The Romanian team started the team competition from Rimini at parallels in the formula Lilia Cosman, Amalia Ghigoartă and Ana Maria Bărbosu.

Cosman had a good exercise for which she received 13, 200 (5,500, 7,700), Ghigoartă was scored 12, 300 (5, 300, 7,000) and Ana Bărbosu, who had small inaccuracies in execution, was scored with 13,500 (6,200,7,300).

The next apparatus was the floor, and Amalia Ghigoartă opened for Romania. The last line was not exactly like the qualifiers and was scored 12.600 (5.300, 7.300).

The second tricolor to enter the blue carpet in Rimini was Ana Maria Bărbosu 13, 100 (5.600, 7.700), she received a 0.200 penalty for exceeding the contest space.

He received a 13,600 (5,900, 7,800), but also a 0.100 penalty for going off the mat on the first diagonal. Romania’s women’s team remained in third position with a total of 116,798.

Romania and France fought for bronze in jumping. Lilia Cosman missed the landing and was scored 12.066 (4.600, 7.566). Ana Bărbosu took a step back when she got to the mat, but got 13,800 (5,000, 8,800).

Sabrina posted a 5.000 on vault and an 8.733 on execution, ending the competition with a 13.633 because she received a .100 penalty.

The Tricolors’ final score was 156.397, which placed them fourth behind Italy (164.162), Great Britain (162.162) and France (158.796). At last year’s edition, Romania was fifth, GSP announces.
