A young woman from Dolj brought the mundane sala de boeuf out of anonymity
When it comes to traditions and customs, but also about the dishes they cook for the Easter table – regardless of which corner of the country they are from, Romanians compete in dishes that are more attractive and tasty. And because there is hardly any celebration in which the sala de boeuf is missing from the table, a young woman from Gorj thought of reinventing the classic presentation mode (with all kinds of pompous decorations made of pickled cucumbers, doughnuts, olives or other vegetables) and decorated the appetizer in a unique way.
After finalizing even the smallest details, without thinking about the major impact the message will have, the Gorjeanca posted several photos of the salad on Facebook. Next to the scone and the roast lamb, pride of place is a casserole with a boeuf salad – garnished with pickled donuts – on which is written the message: Happy Easter!
