A man from Gorj, who went to work abroad, had a totally unpleasant surprise when he returned home. And that’s because he found his apartment completely empty.

The man no longer had a refrigerator, a stove, several pieces of furniture, as well as power tools. He immediately called the police, and now he was in for an even bigger shock. The thief was none other than his brother.

What the police say

“Police officers from Section 6 of the Târgu Cărbunești Rural Police were alerted through the 112 call by a 45-year-old man from Turburea commune, regarding the fact that goods were stolen from his home. From the first investigations carried out by the police on the spot, it was established that, one day ago, when the appellant returned home, from Germany, he noticed that several goods were missing from his home, namely a refrigerator, 1 stove, a stove cylinder, several items of furniture, as well as power tools.

No signs of coercion were identified at the scene, the appellant stating that he was informed by phone that the goods were allegedly taken by his 43-year-old brother from Tufeni commune, Olt county. In the case, the criminal file was drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of theft between relatives”, said the police.
