The PNL appealed to the Câmpina Court the decision of the Electoral Office of Circumscription Number 91 Şotrile, which accepted the candidacy of Bogdan Daniel Davidescu from the PSD for the position of mayor of the commune.
After the liberals obtained in the first instance the annulment of the decision of the electoral office and the rejection of the candidacy proposal, PSD did not appeal, but changed the candidate in the last hundred meters.
In place of Bogdan Davidescu, convicted for child pornography, PSD proposed the candidacy of his wife.
Cohabitation with a 13-year-old minor
Bogdan Davidescu, definitively sentenced in the fall of 2019 to a suspended prison term for child pornography, won the partial elections organized in June 2021, after the mandate obtained by him in September 2020 was invalidated by the court. On August 17, 2021, the Prahova Court validated his mandate as mayor.
Mayor of the Şotrile commune for two terms, Davidescu was definitively sentenced in November 2019 by the Ploiesti Court of Appeal to one year and six months in prison with suspension for child pornography.
According to DIICOT, between 2016 and 2017, Davidescu started a cohabiting relationship with a minor who was then 13-14 years old, and the sexual relations he had with her took place starting at the age of 16, in constantly, the victim being financially dependent and influenced by his authority.
“Since the injured person refused to continue the said relationship, the suspect started blackmailing her, threatening her that he will make public more compromising images or recordings of a pornographic nature, representing the minor, or that he will present them to the parents to her in the event that the cohabitation relationship will not continue”, specified DIICOT, at the time of the start of the investigation.
