Romania qualified for the team finals at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Rimini (Italy), after placing fourth in the qualifications. The tricolors also reached four finals on apparatus, while Sabrina Maneca Voinea took fourth place in individual compound.

Romania, 4th place in CE Gymnastics qualifications – Four finals on apparatus for “tricolor”

Romania (Sabrina Maneca Voinea, Ana Maria Bărbosu, Lilia Cosman, Amalia Ghigoartă) totaled 158.798 points, being overtaken by Italy (165.296 points), Great Britain (161.430 points) and France (159.130 points).

The team final will take place on Sunday.

to individually composedthe gold medal was obtained by the Italian Manila Esposito, with 55.432 points, the silver went to her compatriot Alice D’Amato, with 54.831 points, while the bronze was awarded to the British Alice Kinsella, with 53.599 points.

Sabrina Maneca Voinea took fourth place, with 52,700 points. It should be mentioned that in fact the representatives of Italy had the first three totals, Angela Andreoli (53,766) not being taken into account, writes Agerpres.

The Romanians managed four qualifications in the finals:

  • Ana Maria Barbosu qualified to Jumping with the fourth average, 13.633 points, after 13.666 on the first jump and 13.600 on the second;
  • Sabrina Maneca Voinea caught the final at beam with the second grade (14,100) and the one from ground with the highest score (13,700)
  • Lilia Cosman qualified for the final from beam with the sixth grade (13,266).

Other results recorded by the tricolor gymnasts at CE Gymnastics:

  • Sabrina Maneca Voinea was 13th in jumps (12.983) and 80th in parallel bars (11.300).
  • Ana Maria Bărbosu was 33rd on parallel bars (12.933), 32nd on beam (12.633) and 24th on floor (12.500).
  • Lilia Cosman was 18th on parallel bars (13.100) and 21st on floor (12.600).
  • Amalia Ghigoartă was 27th on parallel bars (13.000), 29th on beam (12.700) and 16th on floor (12.733).
  • Maria Ceplinschi did not perform in the qualifications, being cared for by the trainers due to ankle pain.
