The Bihor Electoral Offices completed the procedure for registering and validating the candidates for the local elections of June 9, on which occasion in Oradea, candidates for the City Council were rejected, one applicant not having the required number of signatures, and another who turned 23 years old on the day voting. In the county, a deputy wants to be the president of CJ Bihor, but his party is so weak that he could only find 4 people to be on the list of councilors.

Almost 500,000 voters

According to the data of the Bihor County Electoral Office, 498,899 citizens will have the right to vote in the combined elections of June 9 – local and European – in the entire county.

For some localities, candidacies were registered from United Right Allianceformed by USR, PMP and Forța Dreptei, namely in Beiuș, Marghita, Sârbi, Dobrești, Măgești and Finiș, in the rest each of these parties having candidates in their own name.

Regarding the Bihor County Council, BEJ registered the candidacies for the position of president and complete lists for the 31 mandates of county councilors from 6 political formations, listed below in chronological order of registration:

GOLD – Blejan Ciprian, candidate for the presidency of CJ Bihor + complete list of 43 candidates for the position of county councilor

PNL – Bolojan Ilie, candidate for the presidency of CJ Bihor + complete list of 43 candidates for the position of county councilor

PSD – Mohan Aurel, candidate for the presidency of CJ Bihor + complete list of 43 candidates for the position of county councilor

Alliance of Hungarians from Transylvania – Habinyak István, candidate for the presidency of CJ Bihor + complete list of 43 candidates for the position of county councilor

Partial applications:

Party of Patriots of the Romanian People registered the candidacy of deputy Mihai Lasca for the presidency of CJ Bihor, but this formation was not able to submit a complete list with 43 candidates for the position of county councilor, but only an incomplete one, with only 4 candidates for the 31 positions of county councillors.

Social Liberal Humanist Party he did not register any candidacy for the position of president of CJ Bihor, but only a complete list, with 43 names, for the mandates of county councilor.

SOS Romania partyhe also did not register any candidacy for the position of president of CJ Bihor, but only an incomplete list, with 29 names, for the mandates of county councilors.

Candidates for Oradea

Regarding the Electoral Office of Circumscription no. 1 Oradea, he registered complete candidacies, both for the position of mayor and for the 27 mandates of municipal councilors, from 6 formations, listed below in the order of registration:

PNL – Birta Florin, candidate for the position of mayor + full list (with 34 names) for local councilor mandates

Incomplete and rejected

Party of Patriots of the Romanian People it only has a candidate for mayor, Boros Andrei, and an incomplete list for the mandates of local councilors, with only 3 candidates.

PUSL has no candidate for mayor, but only an incomplete list, with 17 names, for the mandates of municipal councilors. The Municipal Electoral Office rejected the candidacy of a 4th representative of this party, because that person will not reach the minimum legal age of 23 by the day of voting.

Also, the Electoral Office of Circumscription no. 1 Oradea also rejected an independent candidacy for the City Council, submitted by a citizen named Szücs János Attila, as he attached only 1,280 supporting signatures to his file, under the conditions that the legislation requires that the lists of supporters contain the signatures of 1 % of citizens with the right to vote in the administrative-territorial unit where the candidacy is submitted.

In the case of Oradea, where 182,647 citizens are registered with the right to vote in the June 9 elections, the list of supporters was supposed to contain 1,826 signatures, so 546 signatures were missing.
