Car traffic around the 22 Decembrie Park in Oradea will remain closed during Wednesday for asphalting works.
Road workers have closed the traffic since morning. “Traffic will remain closed during the day. By tonight the contractor will have to finish pouring the wear layer with self-leveling covers”, he told Bihor the technical director of Oradea City Hall, Sebastian Marchiş.
The representatives of the municipality asked the road workers to work on May 1, even if it is a day off from a legal point of view.
“On April 26, the executor of the works poured the binder layer, and now the work of laying the final layer of asphalt is being done. I asked the company to work on a day off because the car traffic is more ventilated, and the disturbance caused is less small”, Marchiş explained.
During the asphalting of the roundabout around the 22 Decembrie Park, where several connecting streets meet between the central area and the Ceyrat, Nufărul and Europa neighborhoods, such as Horea, Gheorghe Costaforu, Sextil Puşcariu and Roland Reagan, traffic will be diverted to the adjacent arteries .
The asphalting works of the roundabout around the 22 Decembrie Park are carried out by the company Precon Transilvania, based on the framework contract for the maintenance of the streets of Oradea.
