A woman from Bihor ended up in Police custody after, on Tuesday evening, she called 112 to report that her son stabbed himself in the chest with a kitchen knife and died. Arriving at the crime scene, the police discovered, however, that the woman’s son was, in fact, killed by her.

The call to the emergency number 112 was registered on Tuesday evening, around 8:30 p.m. The appellant was a 58-year-old woman from Borozel, Bihor, who claimed that her 34-year-old son stabbed himself in the chest area with a knife and died.

The policemen from the area, as well as their colleagues from the Criminal Investigation Service, criminalists and a forensic doctor from the Bihor County Forensic Medicine Service, arrived at the scene in a short time, and from the first investigations, it emerged that they had to do, in fact, with a crime: the woman and her son had a drunken argument, the scandal degenerated and the woman stabbed her son, with a knife, in the chest area.

As a result, the case was taken over in coordination by a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bihor Court, and he ordered the detention of the 58-year-old woman, for 24 hours, in the Bihor Police Detention Center and on Thursday she will be presented at the Bihor Court, with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days.

The investigation is being continued by the policemen of the Bihor Criminal Investigation Service, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bihor Court. The criminal is now being investigated for the murder of a family member and, if found guilty, faces up to 25 years in prison.
