Additional gendarmes will be on duty in Gorj during the May 1st and Easter mini-holidays

On the occasion of the mini-holiday on May 1 and the Easter holidays, between May 1-6, the “Tudor Vladimirescu” Gorj County Gendarmerie Inspectorate has increased the number of gendarmes from public order structures to ensure public order and safety measures at organized events, to prevent and combat anti-social behavior as well as to support and guide citizens.

In the context of May 1st, the Gorje gendarmes will ensure public order measures in Dumbrava Drăgoieni where cultural-artistic events are organized and the participation of a large number of people is expected as well as in the Days of the Brănești commune.

During the religious manifestations on the occasion of the Resurrection of the Lord at places of worship (churches and monasteries), the Gorje gendarmes will be with the faithful in the municipalities of Târgu-Jiu and Motru as well as in Tismana, Polovragi, Bumbești-Jiu and Rovinari.

“During this period, we will also carry out missions in an integrated system within the joint gendarmerie-police patrols and we will be present in crowded areas of the Mall, squares, parks. We recommend the participants to respect the measures ordered by the organizers and the law enforcement, to adopt a civilized behavior, to avoid conflicts of any kind, to pay attention to the children and if they notice people who have an antisocial behavior, to contact the nearest police station public. The mountain gendarmes from Rânca, Runcu and Tismana will act to inform, guide and assist tourists as well as to prevent and combat antisocial acts. If you are traveling in mountainous areas, we recommend that you inform yourself in advance about the local weather conditions, equip yourself properly, do not expose yourself to risks and ask for the support of emergency crews if you encounter problems.
