The series between Timişoara and Craiova from the 11-14 place group in the National Men’s Basketball League ended after game 2, played at Bega. The Oltenians won clearly, 84-61 and closed the series with 2-0.
The Craiova players were not at a disadvantage during the game in Timișoara, only in the first attacks being equal between the teams. The white-blues won all four quarters and the most important difference was recorded in the last act, a period that led to the formation of an important gap on the table.
Panagiotis Giannaras’ students continued their perfect course in the playout, an area in which they prevailed in all the games they played and will continue to progress for the 11th-12th places. On the other hand, the people from Banat, who had a very demanding season with many games, will end this championship with a series of 2 out of 3 for 13th place against the team from Vâlcea.
Sam Sessoms stood out with 29 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 turnovers, Pavlo Krutous contributed 15 points, 3 rebounds and 5/6 free throws. From the hosts, Luka Mitrovic was the only one who exceeded 10 points, he had 14 and two assists.
