Between April 23-26, an ITM campaign targeted car workshops in Neamț to check compliance with labor legislation and safety regulations. Labor inspectors applied 14 sanctions, including fines of 35,300 lei, and imposed 20 measures to remedy irregularities.
Between April 23 and 26, 2024, the Territorial Labor Inspectorate from Neamț carried out a national control campaign at car workshops, focusing on verifying compliance with the legislation on employment contracts and occupational safety.

This campaign specifically targeted workshops operating under CAEN code 452, involving the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.
As part of this action, labor inspectors carried out 18 checks.
As a result, 14 contraventional sanctions were applied, consisting of 11 fines totaling 35,300 lei and three warnings. Also, 20 measures were ordered to remedy the identified deficiencies.

Between April 23 and 26, 2024, the National Campaign was carried out to verify the way in which the legal provisions regarding the conclusion and execution of individual employment contracts, as well as the legal provisions regarding the minimum requirements for safety and health at work, are respected by employers who carry out activities in the field of ” Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles” CAEN code 452.
The objectives of the control actions were:
- reducing the social and economic consequences that derive from non-compliance with the legal provisions by employers in the “Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles” CAEN code 452;
- elimination of non-conformities found by ordering mandatory measures;
- increasing the awareness of employers and workers regarding the need to comply with legal provisions in the fields of labor relations and occupational safety and health.
As part of this action, the labor inspectors carried out 18 checks.
For the violation of legislation in the fields of labor relations and safety and health at work, labor inspectors applied 14 contraventional sanctions to employers, of which 11 fines in the amount of 35,300 lei and 3 contraventional warnings. 20 measures were ordered to remedy the non-conformities found.
The deficiencies found at the employers were the following:
– Employers do not respect the deadline for submitting the corrections to the errors that occurred when completing the general employee record register, contrary to the provisions of art. 4 para. 6 of HG no. 905/2017, amended and supplemented;
– Employers do not provide evidence of informing employees, regarding the method of salary payment, contrary to the provisions of art. 17 para. (3) lit. k from Law no. 53/ 2003, republished, amended and completed;
– Employers do not respect the deadline for submitting the termination of the employee’s activity to the general register of employees, contrary to the provisions of art. 4 para. 1 lit. f) from GD no. 905/2017, amended and supplemented;
– The employers do not prove the preparation of a personnel file for each of the unit’s employees, contrary to the provisions of art. 7 para. 1 and 2 of HG no. 905/2017, amended and supplemented;
– Employers do not comply with the obligation to issue a certificate at the termination of the employee’s activity, which certifies the activity carried out, the duration of the activity, the salary, seniority in work and in the specialty, contrary to the provisions of art. 7 para. 5 of HG no. 905/2017, amended and supplemented;
– Employers do not provide proof of informing employees about the salary change contrary to art. 17 para. 3 lit. k from Law no. 53/2003, republished
– Employers did not ensure the provision of workplaces with medical first aid kits;
– The employers did not ensure the provision of electro-insulating carpets at the electrical panels;
– The employers did not ensure the safe operation of the elevators according to the ISCIR PT R1/2010 prescription.
