The Vaslui City Council approved with a majority of votes the association between the municipality of Vaslui and the Romanian Handball Federation, in order to organize the International Men’s Handball Tournament – youth “Carpathian Trophy” edition 2024 and the Lot Romania Youth centralized training course June 23-25, 2024. The tournament will take place between June 26-30, 2024.
Vasile Pavăl, the mayor of the municipality of Vaslui, said that he could not refuse such a sports event, an opportunity that appears once every few years.
“The federation regularly organizes tournaments in the country. Several cities have been proposed. We were asked if we want to organize a tour in Vaslui. I couldn’t refuse. Events like this happen once every few years. We are not the only ones who can organize such tunes”said Vasile Pavăl.
If some local councilors asked how many players from Vaslui county are involved in the sports tournament, other councilors claimed that the organization of the event is actually “a decision of the City Council regarding the approval of the rescue ticket from the re-relegation from the Zimbri League of CSM Vaslui”.
For the good organization of the event, the Romanian Handball Federation requests the amount of 396,000 lei, costs that provide for hotel services for the 4 invited teams: Romania, Poland, Serbia, Macedonia, between June 26-30, 2024 and a preliminary training camp for the team national during June 23-25, 2024.
It is also necessary to host FRH officials – (referees, delegates), live broadcasts on the Youtube platform – other than TV, photographer, uniforms for staff and volunteers (t-shirts), stationery supplies, medical services – ambulance, local team/staff transport, security – internal access.
