Firefighters from Satu Mare intervened to extinguish a fire that engulfed a car on Drumul Careiului, in the municipality of Satu Mare. According to PresaSM information, two people were in the car when it caught fire. Fortunately, both people were able to get out of the car before it was fully engulfed in flames.
The Satmăra firefighters were requested to intervene in a fire involving a car. Everything happened around 18:30, on Drumul Careiului, at the exit from Satu Mare towards Vetiș. Two fire trucks with water and foam went to the scene.
“The Satu Mare Fire Department intervenes with 2 water and foam extinguishing vehicles and 8 non-commissioned officers. When the professional forces arrived, the car was on fire. They intervene to extinguish the fire”, stated those from ISU Satu Mare.
According to PresaSM information, two people, a man and a woman, were in the car at the time of the fire. Both managed to self-evacuate before the car was completely engulfed in flames. No one was injured in the incident.
The Satmăra firefighters did the first investigations and concluded that everything started from the engine compartment.
“The car burned approximately 80%. The probable cause of the flames was an electrical short circuit in the engine compartment”, said those from ISU Satu Mare.
