Paul Phillipe of Romania, one of the famous fugitives from our country, was caught yesterday in Malta, where he had gone after being released on bail by a court in France. He was in a resort, on vacation, from where he was picked up by the police. He had been on the run for almost four years from Romania, where he was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison. The European arrest warrant against him was still active, even though France three weeks ago decided to refuse his extradition. The Romanian police collaborated with the Maltese police and picked him up right from the resort where he was staying.
