After several protest actions, the last of which was on Friday, April 26, in front of the Ministry of Justice, the employees of the Trade Registry Office Tulcea organized a spontaneous protest today, with the interruption of work between 9-11. Cosmin Alexandru Țurlică, specialist referent within ONRC Tulcea, tells us what the two demands of the employees are.

“ONRC Tulcea employees, starting from April 18, organized a Japanese strike for 3 days. After the 3 days of the Japanese strike, it was time to hold a rally in front of the institutions. After 3 more days of rally-protest in front of the institutions, on Friday, April 26, we were in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice in Bucharest for the following demands: a 15% salary increase, which at the moment is increasingly benefiting many institutions through all kinds of emergency ordinances with clear deadlines for granting and in addition to this 15%, salary increase and neuropsychic score awarding, which all institutions in the Ministry of Justice benefit from. We chanted all these things in front of the Ministry of Justice on Friday, in a large-scale protest organized in front of the Ministry. As a result, today we organized a spontaneous protest together with our colleagues from the country to inform them, once again, to those in the Ministry that our rights were not materialized”, says Alexandru Țurlića.

Until August, when the employees could start the general strike, they may have spontaneous protests in the next period through which they will want to draw attention again to the requested demands.

“We, only in August, can trigger, according to the collective labor contract, a general strike in the ONRC institution. Until then, we can only organize spontaneous protests attended by employees who want to take part in such actions, assuming an illegal strike, let’s call it that, because all these actions at this time have no legal basis. And we send once again to the Ministry, an alarm signal that the institution is vital for the functioning of the Romanian economy and if our demands are not listened to, we will stop their activity. The activity proceeds normally. It is also possible that we will have a spontaneous protest tomorrow if our colleagues will mobilize and assume this situation, because at this moment we risk disciplinary investigation, we risk being fired, our individual employment contracts will be terminated”, he more specifically Alexandru Țurlića.
