The riders from CSU Târgu Mureș stormed the spectacular route from the Cheile Grădiștei tourist resort, in the heart of Brașov county, to mark the start of the first stage of the Romanian Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) Cup.
The atmosphere was incendiary, and the competition was full of adrenaline, the same route was going to host between May 8-12, for the first time for Romania, the best riders at the European Mountain Bike Championship in the XCO, XCR and XCC disciplines.
Iana Alesia Balteș, Roberto Burța, Patrick Pescaru, Elias Hozat and Máté Szakács were on the starting positions, ready to offer a show of speed and skill on two wheels.
The results were impressive from the first stage after Iana Balteș shone on the course, winning the gold in the junior category. Patrick Pescaru also won the gold medal in the U23 Male category, and at the same time, Roberto Burța ranked second, winning the silver in the Elite category.
