Cultural, sports and religious associations in Cluj will benefit from non-refundable funds worth 6 million lei, through the support of the County Council.

The Cluj County Council approved, on Monday, by council decision, the final list and the amounts allocated to each beneficiary of the non-refundable funds. Previously, they submitted projects that were declared winners following the evaluation and selection process carried out by the commissions specially established for this purpose.
“We have concluded an extremely complex and rigorous process, having every conviction that those initiatives with an impact on the Cluj community have been selected and will be supported”, said Alin Tișe, president of the Cluj County Council
Religious cults receive over 3 million lei
For the year 2024, the county administrative forum allocated 3,050,000 lei to support initiatives in the field of cults, 392 projects being financed.

Of these, 232 beneficiaries belonging to the Orthodox cult – 2,210,700 lei, 76 to the Reformed cult – 375,150 lei, 25 to the Greek-Catholic cult – 129,600 lei, 19 to the Pentecostal cult – 87,000 lei, 19 to the Roman Catholic cult – 151,935 lei, 11 for the Unitarian cult – 35,380 lei, and 10 for other cults – 60,235.
Almost 2 million lei for culture and youth
The youth sector received 900,000 lei this year, money that will be directed to the 204 projects selected for financing.

At the same time, the cultural field was also allocated the sum of 900,000 lei for the 192 initiatives that will be supported by the County Council.
Non-reimbursable funds to support sports programs
At the same time, 1,050,000 lei were allocated to support sports activities and programs, an amount that will be used for the 113 projects that met all the eligibility criteria provided in the regulation.
