Over 2,000 legitimate people, hundreds of checks carried out and sanctions applied in the last 48 hours

In a coordinated effort to maintain order and public safety, the police in Argeș carried out intensive actions in collaboration with the gendarmes and other institutions, during April 26-27.

By means of the operationalized eDAC system, the police registered more than 2,000 people, checked almost 1,600 vehicles and performed 831 tests to detect the consumption of alcohol or psychoactive substances. These measures were aimed at preventing and combating incidents that could endanger citizens.

Unfortunately, violations were detected, and the police promptly intervened:

  1. Driving without a license and under the influence of alcohol: A 28-year-old man from Priboieni was caught driving an unregistered moped and without a driver’s license. Also, the breathalyzer test indicated a value of 0.19 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. As a result, he was penalized and a criminal case was filed.
  2. Use of a vehicle with an expired provisional registration: Another incident involved a 70-year-old man from Pitesti, who was driving a car with expired provisional license plates. A criminal case was filed according to the law.

These actions demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to maintaining order and public safety in Argeș, and violations of the law are treated seriously and promptly.
