Alex Prunean, reporter Observer: In addition to the recreation part, the visit to the castle can be a good opportunity to learn details about the unknown about the Banffy family. In this room were exhibited photos from the family’s personal collection, as well as these stained glass windows designed by Mikros Banffy himself, the last owner of the domain.

Over time, several legends have been created around the domain of Bonţida, which have attracted visitors from all corners of the world. Among them, I found Karen, a young woman from the USA, who came back with love to rediscover the castle that won her heart a few years ago.

Tourist: This beautiful castle. We don’t have anything like it, that old, in the US. Also, to hear Hungarians and Romanians in a festival is very important to see. Yes, it’s a good family atmosphere on this beautiful day.

Horse riding demonstrations and traditional fights, some of the attractions

And she wasn’t the only one who wanted to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and get to know the surroundings of Banffy Castle outside the famous Electric Castle festival. Horse riding demonstrations or traditional fights were just some of the attractions of the place.

Young woman: I heard that there are open house days and I came with the children for a picnic. There is sun, greenery, and fresh air. It’s very cool. It’s nice to be outside with the children and the family.

Those who want to visit Bánffy Castle in Bonțida can do so in the following days, and the price for an entrance ticket is five lei for children and ten lei for adults.
