The Vaslui County Public Health Directorate (DSP) makes a series of recommendations for the population regarding food consumption during the Easter Holidays.

Food products (lamb meat and preparations, eggs, dairy products and cheeses, pastries and confectionery), and not only these, must be purchased only from authorized traders, who can certify the sanitary control of the products.

The commercialization of food products is allowed only in properly arranged, sanitary authorized premises, equipped with refrigerators for perishable products (eggs, cheeses and dairy products, meat and meat preparations, confectionery products). When purchasing food products, the organoleptic aspect must be checked, in the case of packaged ones – the presence of labels with identification elements of the producer, the packer, the ingredients, the expiration date.

Eggs must have normal, intact and clean shell and membrane, the expiration date must be stamped on the shell; in the case of packaged eggs, the expiration date must be marked on the packaging.

“We recommend the population to have a balanced eating behavior and to consume fatty foods, lamb or alcohol in moderation. We draw attention especially to people who fasted before the Easter Holidays, to be careful about switching to a diet based on meat rich in fat, which can often cause digestive problems. Such a diet should also be avoided by people suffering from digestive disorders, liver or pancreatic disorders”said Mihaela Vlada, director of DSP Vaslui.
