Gabriela Firea declared, when submitting her candidacy for a new term of office of the capital’s general mayor, that she and her team propose “a dynamic administration and a collaboration with all colleagues from the sectors, regardless of political color”. She also said that “the pace was snail’s pace”, referring to the current PMB leadership. For his part, PSD leader Marcel Ciolacu promised Gabriela Firea that he would be with her and the social-democratic team, throughout this period, unconditionally. “I think it’s over with the stories of upsets between us, of arrangements, of someone who will run for president if Gabi Firea wins Bucharest,” said the PSD president.

“I have now applied for a new mandate at the Capital City Hall. (…) Thanks to everyone, we also managed to collect signatures and mobilize. You have in front of you the people who transform Bucharest for the better, who can make a difference, who will put an end to inefficiency, slowness and everything that happened, unfortunately, not very well in the last years in Bucharest, because there was no development and where the projects started, the pace was a snail’s pace. What do we propose? A dynamic administration, an efficient administration, based on collaboration with the ministries, with the Government, with all colleagues from the sectors, regardless of political color. (…) People can forgive us if we make mistakes, but they can’t forgive us if we show that we don’t care. I want to sincerely thank Mr. Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, for all the support during this period. I am absolutely sure that he will support all good projects for the Capital at the governmental level. In these years, only two sectors were lucky: Mr. Robert Negoiţă’s and Daniel Băluţă’s Sector, the rest is the Middle Ages”, Gabriela Firea declared.

She also said that “for a modern capital, we need, first of all, a team of a determined, hardworking, synergistic team, willing to work, really work and communicate with the citizens, because this is also extremely important important”.

“People can forgive us if we make a mistake, but they can’t forgive us if we don’t care and we don’t show them that we care about each one of them, whether it’s young people, children, women, men,” added Firea.

For his part, PSD president Marcel Ciolacu promised Gabriela Firea that he would support her unconditionally in the efforts and projects he has for Bucharest.

“It is official, as of this moment, Gabriela Firea is the candidate of the Social Democratic Party for a new mandate at the General City Hall of the Capital. It is official that Ms. Gabriela Firea, together, as she said, with Daniel Băluţă, with Robert Negoiţă, with Rareş Hopincă, with Mr. Ciprian Ciucu, with Mr. George Tuţă, and last but not least, with Adrian Vigheciu, will make the team that she has need Bucharest. What do I want? In order to be more than sure that everyone will win, I wish that in the next period of the election campaign, together with us, with all your colleagues, we will succeed in passing on the project and the administrative program for Bucharest to the people of Bucharest. Bucharest needs an integrated program, it needs Sorin Grindeanu, it needs Sandu Rafila, it needs Mihai Tudose, let’s come and present each sector to the citizens of Bucharest, what it means to come with development and, finally, connectivity and everything integrated in a plan for Bucharest”, said Ciolacu.

The PSD leader added that “four years were lost, four wasted years, four years won on lies, on untruths, on hatred against each other and we all see where it ended up”.

“We reached the doubling of parking in traffic, we reached 25 boats in Herăstrău, 10 playgrounds, at the companies founded by Mrs. Firea, which became legal in the meantime. This means, in fact, to confuse politics with administration. The administration must never have a political color. As Robert said at the launch of Daniel’s candidacy, Gabi, I promise you, along with your colleagues, throughout this period we will be with you unconditionally. I think it’s over with the stories of upsets between us, of arrangements, of someone who will run for president if Gabi Firea wins Bucharest!
