The soccer players from FC Hermannstadt, decisive victory with Alba Iulia. Sibience climbed to 3rd place in League 2

The FC Hermannstadt women’s football team achieved an important success on Sunday at the Măgura Cisnădie Stadium, winning 5-2 the dispute with Unirea Alba Iulia, from the 15th stage of the second echelon.

The girls from FC Hermannstadt managed the fourth consecutive match without failure in League 2, winning the duel for the 3rd place in the series with Alba Iulia, score 5-2. Sibience led from the first minutes with 2-0, after the successes of Chirilă and Răchițan. The guests managed to come back and score twice, so at halftime it was equal, 2-2.

Immediately after the break, Chirilă scored for 3-2. Until the end, the team prepared by Octavian Budică scored twice more, through Crețoiu and Arsenie. It ended 5-2 and AFC Hermannstadt climbed to 3rd place in the series, having a point lead over Alba Iulia, but also a less contested game.

For the team’s head coach, Octavian Budică, it was match number 50 on the team’s bench. The players dedicated the victory to the celebrated day, Oana Diana and Roxana Mărgărit, whose anniversary was on Saturday. Also, the beautiful victory with Alba Iulia was also dedicated to Andrea Marinescu, who has medical problems with her hand. “There are still three stages, even if we stumble once, we will be in 3rd place. We still hope for promotion, Poli 2 does not have the right, and Olimpia Gherla was invited to the first echelon also last year but did not obtain the license” said coach Octavian Budică.

The women’s football team of the Măgura Football Academy plays in the competitions organized by the Romanian Federation under the auspices of the AFC Hermannstadt club.
