Gabriela Firea submitted her candidacy for the position of mayor of Bucharest

The candidacy of Gabriela Firea for the position of mayor of the Municipality of Bucharest was submitted to the constituency Electoral Office of the Municipality of Bucharest. Let’s put an end to inefficiency and the snail’s pace in terms of project implementation, said Gabriela Firea in front of the Electoral Bureau headquarters.

“We propose a dynamic, efficient administration based on collaboration with the government, ministries and colleagues from sectors (…) We need a team”, Firea said.

PSD president Marcel Ciolacu also sent a message.

“It’s official, Gabriela Firea is the PSD candidate for a new mandate at the Capital City Hall (…) I want all our candidates to win. Bucharest needs an integrated program (…) Four years were lost, four years won on lies and hatred”, declared Marcel Ciolacu.

Initially, PSD and PNL proposed a common candidate. Later, it was withdrawn, and the parties launched their own proposals. The president of PNL Bucharest, Sebastian Burduja, submitted his candidacy on Saturday. Firea and Burduja will face in the elections, among others, Nicuşor Dan and Cristian Popescu Piedone.

According to a survey carried out by the Avangarde group at the command of the PSD, 31% of Bucharesters would vote for Nicusor Dan, while Gabriela Firea would be voted for by 24% of the voters. In third place is Cristian Popescu Piedone, with 20%. Sebastian Burduja with 15% and Mihai Enache with 7% also appear in the answers. The other candidates have a total of 3%. The sample used in the research was 1150 subjects. The data were collected through the Door-to-Door (field) method between 04.24.2024 and 04.27.2024.
