Hundreds of police raided Dolj. In the evening of April 27 this year, starting at 6:00 p.m., until the night of April 28, at 02:00 a.m., in Dolj county, a “Razie” type action was organized, with increased forces, to ensure a climate of order and public safety, increasing the degree of road safety and preventing, combating antisocial acts and the trafficking and consumption of psychoactive substances.
During the action, 222 police officers from the structures of public order, traffic police, forensics, criminal investigations, economic crime investigation, weapons, explosives and dangerous substances and fighters of the Special Actions Service were mobilized.
Along with the policemen, there were also 56 gendarmes from the Dolj County Gendarmerie Inspectorate and the Craiova Mobile Gendarmerie Group, as well as 8 border policemen.
The action aimed at preventing and combating any acts of violence on the street, in bars and in the area of companies with the profile of gambling halls and sports betting, as well as detecting road traffic participants who violate the legal rules regarding traffic on public roads.
Rays in Dolj
As part of the activities carried out, 914 people were checked and authenticated (through the eDAC application), 88 commercial companies and 587 vehicles were checked and controlled.
For the detected deviations, 178 contraventional sanctions were applied, totaling 83,900 lei. At the same time, the police found 7 crimes in flagrante delicto.
Such activities will continue in the next period, throughout the county, and their purpose is not to apply sanctions, but to prevent any negative event, in order to ensure an appropriate climate of order and public safety for all citizens.
Examples:
1. A man from the Sadova commune was spotted by the police on DN 55A, in the Ostroveni commune, having on him 1640 cigarettes, without Romanian tax marking, with the inscription “For duty free sale only”.
The man was fined 20,000 lei, the entire quantity of cigarettes being unavailable.
2. A 32-year-old man, from Mehedinți county, was spotted by the police while driving a car on Ilaru Street, Poiana Mare commune.
Since he exuded alcoholic breath, he was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being 1.06 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
In the case, a criminal case was drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
3. A 45-year-old man, from Mârșani commune, was spotted by the police while driving a car on DJ 606 A, in Breasta locality.
Since he exuded alcoholic breath, he was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being 0.88 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
At the same time, following the checks carried out, it was established that the provisional circulation authorization is expired.
In the case, a criminal case was drawn up for the offenses of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances and putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle.
