For high school admission 2024, foreign language tests and aptitude tests for vocational high schools start on May 21 and last until May 24, according to the official calendar. Registration for these tests takes place on May 16 and 17.

Between May 13-15, the appendices of the registration forms will be released for students or graduates who wish to participate in aptitude tests, modern or mother tongue knowledge tests.

On May 13, the school inspectorates will publish the brochure with information on high school admission for the 2024-2025 school year, according to the official calendar. The brochure contains the number of places at the high schools in the county, the specializations, the codes and the average of the last admitted in the previous school year.

For the second year in a row, the average of secondary school grades is no longer taken into account for admission to high school. Registration for high school admission in 2024 will begin on July 11, and the distribution of candidates takes place on July 24, as shown in the official calendar.

The updating by the committees of the vocational high school education units of the lists of candidates declared admitted to the aptitude tests, by eliminating the correct, repeat, postponed or expelled candidates, in the centralized IT application

July 9, 2024 The transmission by the county/municipality admission commissions to the high school education units that organized aptitude tests of the county database containing the admission averages, by confirming the completion of specific operations in the centralized IT application

July 10, 2024 Validation by the Bucharest county/municipality admissions committee of the list of candidates admitted to the high schools/classes where aptitude tests were taken and the communication of the results in the respective high school education unit, by printing from the centralized IT application

July 11, 2024 Picking up/Transmitting from vocational high schools the registration forms of candidates who were not admitted to the classes for which they took aptitude tests. Candidates who were not admitted to the classes for which they took aptitude tests, as well as candidates who were admitted but who declared, in writing, that they are renouncing the place obtained, can be issued, by the secondary education unit, the form of registration, to complete the options in order to participate in the computerized distribution

Transmission, in electronic format, to the National Admission Center of the list of candidates declared admitted, in each county, to the classes for which aptitude tests were held, by confirming the completion of specific operations in the centralized IT application

Modern or native language knowledge verification tests

13 – 15 May 2024 Issuance/Transmission of the annexes of the registration forms for students or graduates who wish to take part in modern or native language tests

16 – 17 May 2024 Enrollment of candidates for tests to verify knowledge of modern or native language

NOTE: The necessary documents for the recognition and equating of the results obtained in internationally recognized exams for the certification of linguistic skills in foreign languages ​​with the modern language knowledge verification test for admission to the 9th grades with a bilingual program of teaching a modern language of international circulation can be submitted to the educational unit of origin by May 27, 2024.

21 – 24 May 2024 Conducting modern or native language knowledge verification tests

June 14, 2024 Submitting/Transmitting the annexes of the registration forms of the candidates who took part in the modern or mother tongue knowledge verification tests, to the educational units of origin

June 20, 2024 The transmission by the admission commissions of the county/municipality of Bucharest, in electronic format, to the National Admission Center of the list of candidates who have passed the modern or native language tests and their test results, by entering and confirming the completion of the entry them in the centralized IT application.

11 – 12, 15 – 22 July 2024: Completing the options in the registration forms by the 8th grade graduates and their parents, assisted by the 8th grade directors

Any wrong option can lead to an unwanted assignment!

The small number of completed options may lead to the computerized non-distribution of the candidate!

Completing the registration forms by the 8th grade graduates who wish to participate in the admission in another county and submitting/transmitting the forms, according to PROCEDURE established by the National Admission Commission

NOTE: 1) Candidates not allocated to the special places for Roma and candidates not allocated to the places separately allocated in mass education units to candidates with CES, as well as those who have been allocated but who request, in writing, to give up the place they were allocated to, who wish to participate in the stage of computerized assignment and admission to high school education for candidates from the current batch, as well as for those from previous batches who do not turn 18 until at the start of the courses of the 2024-2025 school year, complete the options between July 19 and 22, 2023.

2) Candidates who participated in the first stage of admission in professional and dual education and who were not admitted, complete the options in the registration forms between July 20 and 21, 2024

11 – 12, 15 – 19 July 2024: Entering the data from the registration forms into the computerized database (in the centralized IT application).

11 – 12, 15 – 19 July 2024: The verification by parents and candidates of the correctness of the data in the computer file, the correction of any mistakes in the computerized database and the listing of the corrected computer files, operations that will be carried out using the centralized IT application

July 22, 2024: The deadline for the transmission of the database from the registration centers to the Bucharest county/municipality admissions center, as well as the list of graduates who do not participate in the computerized distribution, by confirming the specific operations in the centralized IT application

Delivery/transmission by the commission from the enrollment center of the original option sheets to the county/municipality admission center of Bucharest

July 22, 2024: Transmission of the database from the county/city admission centers of Bucharest to the National Admission Center by confirming, by them, the completion of specific operations, in the centralized IT application

July 23, 2024: Checking and correcting possible errors in the databases, such as candidates in the database for computerized admission and who have already been admitted to the high schools where aptitude tests are taken, etc., by the National Admissions Commission and the county admissions commissions/ of the municipality of Bucharest; transmission of changes to the national commission

July 23, 2024: Correcting errors and confirming the completion of changes in the centralized IT application

July 24, 2024: Computerized distribution in high school education of 8th grade graduates who do not turn 18 by the start of classes in the 2024-2025 school year

July 24, 2024: Communicating the results of computer-assigned candidates in high school education

Display in secondary education units of the list of unoccupied places in high school education units in the county/municipality of Bucharest

25 – 30 July 2024: Submission of application files to the schools to which the candidates have been assigned

July 30, 2024: The transmission by the high school education units of the situation of the places left vacant following the non-enrolment of the candidates admitted in this stage of admission

July 31 – August 2, 2024: The resolution by the county/municipality admission commission of Bucharest, of special situations arising after the computerized distribution stage
