The former city manager of Constanța City Hall, Felicia Ovanesian, submitted her candidacy today for Constanța City Hall and also for the position of local councilor within the Constanța Municipal Council.

She came to the Municipal Electoral Office accompanied by several supporters, including the former mayor of Constanţi between 1992 and 1996, Corneliu Neagoe.

Upon entering the headquarters of the Municipal Electoral Office, Felicia Ovanesian said that she came with good thoughts and that she collected almost 4,700 signatures from the position of independent candidate for the position of local councilor and almost 4,800 signatures for that of candidate for Constanța City Hall.

Upon leaving the Municipal Electoral Office, after submitting her candidacy, Felicia Ovanesian declared: “I am officially an independent candidate, I think it is time for Constanta to have an independent mayor. I think we have convinced ourselves what the parties can do, little to nothing. My thoughts and you know my concerns for Constanța. I am concerned about corruption and I am sure that I am the only one who can put an end to it. I have already demonstrated this when I was in Constanţa City Hall and sanctioned employees who did not do their job properly. I think we must bring respect to the citizen in the local administration. I am concerned about the economic development of Constanța. I am concerned about the safety, drugs create big problems”.
