Sportswoman Ebru Bolat will represent Team Romania at the Olympic Games in Paris, starting this summer, in the yachting competitions, as informed by COSR.

Ebru Bolat will represent Romania at the 2024 Olympics in the yachting events

It will be the third time in history that Romania will have yachting athletes at the star of the Olympic competition.

Ebru Bolat will represent Team Romania at the Paris Games in yachting competitions. It is for the third time in history that Romania will have yachting athletes at the star of the Olympic competition.

Ebru qualified for the final tournament that distributed the Olympic tickets, in Hyeres, France. In the Ylca 6 class, Ebru finished in 1st place ensuring his participation in the Games. She collected 70 points in 10 races, twice finished first, twice second and once third, the rest of the races she was in the top 10, with one race being disqualified.

In 1980, at the Moscow Olympics, Mihai Butucaru competed, 15th place in the Finn Class, Mircea Carp and Adrian Arendt, in the Flying Dutchman Class, 13th place and in the Tornado Class, Andrei Chiliman and Cătălin Luchian finished in 11th place.

In Atlanta 1996, in the Finn Class, Mihai Butucaru finished in 28th place and Horia Ispaș, in the Laser class, in 48th place.

Dreams come true through perseverance, as Ebru Bolat did. Ebru is a double European champion, she obtained the title of European champion in the Zoom8 and Optimist classes, as well as the place of world vice-champion in Zoom8.

2015 brought him a 2nd place at the European Zoom8 Championship and a 5th place at the World Championship. In 2016, he took 6th place at the European Youth Championship in the 29er class. She currently holds the title of national champion in the Ilca 6 class for seniors, an Olympic class, and is in the top 50 in the world.

Ebru aims to change the popularity of yachting in Romania. He wants to inspire as many Romanians as possible to discover this sport and love it. She strongly believed that she could compete at the international level and qualified Romania for the next edition of the Olympic Games in 2024, in Paris”, informs COSR on the official Facebook account.
