Dacia accelerates sales in Germany above the market average and launches Spring at a price that defies the Chinese

Affected in recent months in particular by the removal of the subsidy for electric cars, which led to a decline in the Spring model, Dacia seems to have managed to overcome this moment and reports above-average growth on the German market, reveals the data analyzed by Profit. ro.

Dacia achieved a strong comeback in April, in Germany, with a growth much higher than the market average, in a context that, apparently, was not a favorable one. Concretely, Dacia Spring lost a lot of customers, after the elimination of the electric subsidy, and Duster brought, in addition, a decrease in sales, against the background of the change of generations.

Even so, Dacia managed to sell 5,700 units in April, with a volume increase of 27.5% compared to last year, in a market that grew by 19.8% in which at least 30% of brands have registered declines.

The success was primarily based on the Sandero, which continues to sell very well in this market, but also the Jogger, both of which saw sales increase compared to last year. The market share decreased compared to the previous month, but remains at a good level, 2.3%, above that held by competitors in the same segment, such as Fiat or Citroen.

After four months, Dacia has a sold volume of 24,263 cars, with a market share of 2.6%, having an advance compared to the similar period in 2023 of 16.3%, double the market growth.

Even if the figures published by the federal authorities do not yet include the details on the models, we already know that in the first quarter Dacia reached a record market share since the launch of the brand in 2005 and until today, having a very good position for Sandero, the 3rd place on private customer market, while Duster ranked 9th and Jogger 14th. Spring, affected by legislative changes, sold in the first three long only 1,906 units, a volume that most likely did not increase very much at the end of April.

Dacia is instead preparing a relaunch of Spring, with the introduction of the changes brought by the facelift of this model, which comes not only with aesthetic and interior changes, but also with a very good price, which drops to 16,900 euros, without any subsidy or discount, a price that defies any competitor, Chinese or European.

The Romanian brand opened orders in this market as well, at the beginning of April, but the first models will be delivered only in the fall, so the sales results brought by the new price will only be visible at the end of the year.
