Road traffic restricted this weekend on the boulevard

On Saturday, April 27, starting at 6:00 a.m., road paving works will be carried out on Mamaia Boulevard, on the section between Ion Rațiu Street and Zorelelor Street, in the direction of Delfinariu. The works will be carried out with total road traffic restrictions on this direction! According to the Constanţa City Hall, teams of workers will intervene with road paving machines between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., when a new layer of MAS (stabilized asphalt mixture) resistant to intense and heavy traffic will be laid. in its composition plastic granules. They provide strength and elasticity to the asphalt. At the same time, two machines will be used to distribute the asphalt mixtures so that the new layer of laid asphalt merges between the traffic lanes in order to obtain a perfect connection.

As a result, road traffic for vehicles coming from the center towards Delfinariu will be redirected as follows: drivers will turn right on Ion Rațiu street, then left on Unirii street, left again on Zorelelor street to Delfinariu. In parallel, work is being done on the rehabilitation of the sidewalks. Curbs are replaced, modern pavers are installed, boxes are built for green spaces where trees will be planted in the fall. The median square was also reconfigured, and bike lanes will be built in both directions.
